What an exciting time for you both. Congratulations.

One of the greatest gifts you can give yourselves as you plan for your special day is to work with someone who you both connect with.

My role as your celebrant is to be the person who can embrace your idea of the perfect ceremony and make it happen. Of course, I will look after all of the legal requirements but more than that, I will spend time getting to know you so that your ceremony is unique and reflects who you are as a couple.

Whether you’re planning an intimate affair or a gala occasion, we will make it just the way you want it.

Big or small, we need to be well organised with a good level of detail without making things more complicated or stressful than they need to be. My aim is to make the planning as much of a happy memory as the day itself, so we’ll have some fun together.

I will provide you with access to some well-prepared guides and check lists that will make things infinitely more manageable. Maybe you won’t need any of this which is perfectly ok but if you do, I’ve already done some of the work for you.

After your wedding day, I will send you a digital copy of your ceremony. Perhaps in 12 months time you can print it and put a ribbon around it as paper is the traditional gift for your first Wedding Anniversary. Paper symbolises the clean canvas for which you have started to write your new story.

What next? Making sure that we connect and get along is important – I can’t wait to tell you about our story and why I now think this is a top priority. I still laugh at what could have been if we hadn’t met the celebrant who we first contacted. Good grief!

I have been appointed by the Register General as an Independent Celebrant and have a ‘Certificate of Marriage Celebrancy’ through study with The NZ Celebrants Training College. I am a member of the professional body, Celebrants Aotearoa New Zealand (CANZ), which is a professional organisation providing advocacy, professional development and a pathway for feedback from customers.

Where do we begin... Sharelle was beyond incredible. Her meticulous planning made everything a breeze, we were so confident everything would run smoothly from the moment we met her.
